Our History

Brief History

St. John's Day Secondary School was established in October 1982 by Rev. Fr. Simon Ivever of blessed memory. The philosophy behind the establishment of the school was based on the provision of qualitative education to our boys who could not afford fees in boarding schools. The status of the school was however changed to become co-educational in 2001/2002. Today, the school has a total population of 723 students, with 514 boys and 209 girls. Since the inception of the institution, 9 principals and 1 acting principal have piloted the affairs of the school. The current principal is Revd. Fr. Raphael Tarlumun being the 10th and the first priest to become the principal of the school.
